Stakeholder Engagement.
This three-day BCS Stakeholder Engagement course develops practical skills for building and managing productive stakeholder relationships during business change. Participants learn to identify and analyse stakeholders, plan engagement, communicate effectively, and facilitate stakeholder groups.
The course also covers building rapport, supporting inclusion, managing expectations, negotiating, and resolving conflict. Practical exercises demonstrate how these techniques can be applied in realistic stakeholder situations.
This course is suitable for Business Analysts, Project Managers, Change Managers, Product Owners, team leaders, and other professionals responsible for engaging stakeholders and managing stakeholder relationships.

CONTENT OF THE COURSE
Managing stakeholders
This module explains how to identify, categorize, analyze, and prioritize stakeholders, understand their perspectives, and plan and monitor engagement using tools such as RACI.
Communicating with stakeholders
This module explores the communication process, common barriers to effective communication, the 4As planning model, active listening, and listening behaviors.
Working with stakeholder groups
This module explains how stakeholder groups develop and how different learning styles influence participation, communication, and collaboration.
Facilitating workshops
This module covers the benefits, roles, stages, and planning of facilitated workshops, together with practical elicitation and visualization techniques.
Building rapport
This module explains the nature of rapport, the verbal, vocal, and visual elements of communication, and techniques for building rapport through mirroring, matching, and pacing.
Ensuring equality
This module introduces equality, diversity, and inclusion, and explores how empathy maps and awareness of unconscious bias support inclusive stakeholder engagement.
Managing expectations
This module explains different categories and sources of expectations and presents a structured process for managing stakeholder expectations.
Negotiating with stakeholders
This module introduces principled negotiation, BATNA, and integrative and distributive approaches to reaching agreements with stakeholders.
Managing conflict
This module examines the common roots of stakeholder conflict, options for resolving it, and the Thomas–Kilmann conflict-handling styles.
Review and Closure
This module summarizes the learnings from the course and closes it.
Official EXIN exam
At the end of the third-course day, delegates will take the exam.
EXAMINATION FORMAT
It is 90 minutes ‘closed book’ exam with 40 multiple-choice questions. Candidates are entitled to additional 15 minutes if the examination in a language that is not their native/official language.
The pass mark is 65%: 26 correct answers out of 40.
Positive exam results will award delegates with the BCS Professional Certificate in Stakeholder Engagement.

The course costs € 2295,00 (excluding 21% VAT) per person. This amount includes training materials and exam costs.
EXAM
The exam costs € 480,00 (excluding 21% VAT) and is included in the price.
COURSE MATERIAL
Delegates will receive a binder with slides, additional hand-outs, and access to online sample exam questions.
CATERING
Coffee/tea and lunch are included in the price of the training. If you have any dietary requirements due to food allergies, please don’t forget to mention them during your registration procedure.
